Your computer supports them both (GMA950)

Could you look at my post "connecting laptop to tv?? PLEASEE HELP??" dated
1/29/07
my problem sounds exactly like this one but im on a laptop and dont know
how
to "disconnect" the monitor on the laptop so i can view on tv instead.
Sorry

Your welcome Darren...
If your monitor connects to the VGA plug like a normal monitor then you
CAN'T display to both the monitor and TV
The specs state:
Integrated TV encoder with an on-chip DAC (simultaneous output for TV and
CRT is not supported)
So if that's the case then you can't display to both at the same time.
There must be an option to switch between VGA and TV out to allow on the
fly changes. If I get chance I will look into it.

first off forget the tuner because until you can display to your TV,
wasting time on the tuner is pointless.

monitor use should come later once you have determined the the equipement
functions properly.

connected. boot up. do you have an image on the tv? if not connect the
monitor. i would be surprised if this didnt work since every single ati
card i have had has always outputed to s-video if no monitor is
connected.
