Since Media Center just records the digital signal it receives over the ATSC
tuner and does not change it are you sure that you are receiving a 720p or a
1080i digital signal from the station/substation that you are recording.
There is no requirement that all digital ATSC transmissions be in HD 720p or
1080i resolution.

On the same machine, in XP MCE, I can get 1080p, 720p, etc. formats for
my DVR-MS recorded TV (ATSC with an antenna).

With Vista, all ATSC recordings are 480p. Quality is set to "Best" just
like in XP.

What gives?
