What Tom said. To go farther,

The S-Video on your tuner card is almost certainly an input.

Some video cards (AKA graphics cards) - they're the ones that *output*
video :-) - have a visible S-Video jack, but sometimes that jack is a
non-standard jack requiring a special adapter to connect to a regular
S-Video cable. Some graphics cards don't have S-Video out...

If your graphics are built-in to the motherboard, the S-Video output
would be somewhere on the case, probably on the back.

In any case, you'll need to look in your manuals to find out exactly
what you have, unless someone who knows your machine posts help.

i have poted a question headlining (S VIDEO THROUGH MY TV) i have a big
problem.... i have a digital set top box (telewest u.k.) connected to my
pc via rf cable. then i have an s video cable running from my tuner card
to my home tv. so in theory i should recieve a tv signal on my monitor
through media centre? all i get is no signal or detection failed etc etc.
so by sending s video to my home tv i was hoping to play a dvd from my pc
and pop to the next room and watch it on my home tv. but nothing is
showing up on the monitor for my tv signal nor my home tv. now ive tried
to clone my tv but to no avail i dont know how too? its been 4 days and
sleepness nights... dam i have tried everything. so if there is anyone
out there please pleas help if u can. if u read thee other post i will
shed more light on the situation. thanks

Is the S-Video jack on your tuner card an input (which is what I expect)?
If so, it can't send a signal to your TV.

To go a little farther, S-video from you box goes TO the tuner card.
S-video from your GRAPHICS card goes to your TV
