Darren,
I'm afraid the way JW replied was pretty confusing.
Here's the deal, or at least the way I have my system set up.
You need to do two things to view content from the Media Center and your
computer on a TV.
You need to configure the display for two displays, which it sounds like you
know how to do.
You need to set it to "CLONE" for the type of dual monitor. This will have
the TV display the exact thing that's on your computer monitor.
Secondly, you have to have an S-Video cable connected from the S-Video jack
on your TV to the S-Video jack on the back of your graphics card on your
computer.
Those are the basics, but once you get it set up right, you'll be able to
open Media Center using your remote and control it from there to play
recorded TV, movies, etc. and have it displayed on your TV.
Of course, as you know, you have to be sure to have the input source set to
S-Video on your TV.

NO you misundertood me you can INPUT video to your PC with either the
antenna connection on your Tuner/capture card OR via theS-Video connection
and its separate audio connection. You CANNOT send S-Video output from your
tuner/capture card you must do that with your standard graphics output card
which also connects to your PC monitor

thanks jw that explains it much better that the manuals. maybe its me
being
green and ill educated lol. joking aside yes my card has both rf
connection
and s video connection my understanding of this is the rf connection is to
receive the tv signal from my cale box? and the s video connection is to
stream videos from my pc to my home tv/ correct me if im wrong?. so my
question is can i send images ie dvd from my media centre to my tv. its
all
set up right i think but nothing is showing on my home tv. thanks jw for
taking the time to reply......

The S-video connection and its associated audio connedtio on your TV
Tuner/Video capture card are for inputing into your PC from a STB instead
of
using poorer quality RF input to the antenna connection. If you want to
export S-Video from your PC your graphics card would need to have an
S-video
output connetion.
