Re: 360 Media Extender constantly terminates when I goto My Videos

If you look in the Processes tab of Task Manager when this is happening,
what process is pegging the CPU?

Well, after many hours of trying, nothing works. I either get that
disconnect message or both my xbox 360 and pc hangs. The pc shows 100%
cpu usage. If I get out of media center on the 360 using the silver
xbox button and go back to the main blades my xbox seems fine, but my
pc still shows 100% cpu usage for another 5 to 10 minutes. Any ideas?

I've uninstalled Nero, I've checked my firewalls and tried even with my
firewalls off. Nothing works.

I've been really stumped with a problem I recently encountered. I've
been using my 360 as an extender for a year now. I got my 360 with the
initial shipments. It hasn't had any problems whatsoever until
recently when I encountered the 3 red flashing lights. I bought a new
360 and imported everything over to this new core system (basically
moved over the old hard drive). Everything's working fine, Live works,
games work, all my settings are fine.

I went through the media center install at xbox.com/pcsetup and
everything was great. No problems at all. I can stream pictures,
music, and do everything except My Videos. Everytime I goto My videos
I get a message that says : Session Terminated Another user or
application on the Windows Media Center-based PC has disconnected this
device.

I've never had this happen before and am completely stumped. Everytime
I goto My Videos I get either that message or the whole thing hangs and
I have to exit out of Media Center. When it hangs it also hangs my PC.

I've reinstalled several times now, with and without permissions, and
with and without shared folders. When I don't use the same folders, I
can goto my videos and it doesn't give the error msg. But, as soon as
I add some folders I get either the freezing or the error msg.

This is really weird as I had no problem at all previously on my broken
360. Its the same exact Media Center PC that i'm connecting to.

I have no Internet security software installed. No virus software
installed. Only use the MS firewall. I do connect wirelessly to a
Linksys wireless router. The PC is connected by wire to that same
router. I do have Nero installed. Let me know if you need anything
else to help me.
