Hi! I received a Toshiba laptop as a Christmas gift and it came
preloaded with XP Media Center and a whole lot of junk from Toshiba. I
personally do not like computers to have anything pre-installed for me
and would prefer to wipe the disk and install only the OS. The laptop
only came with a restore CD and no OEM CD for MCE. I called Toshiba and
all that they can tell me is that they only have restore CD's
available. I called Microsoft and was told to call Toshiba again.

All I want is the OEM CD because I already have a license from the
laptop. Is there any way I can get just that? I really want to reformat
the HD.


Only by buying a license. One reason I buy Dell instead of Toshiba.
