Kim,
No you wouldn't, if would work just like a cable box, MCE would change the
channel on the Sat box for you when it is time to make a recording. No need
to do it manually.

Thanks Richard.
Of course you are right in that I can connect the satellite receiver to
MCE,
but the solution is not really usefull because I would have to come home
and
change satellite channel for every timed recording i wanted to make apart
from the first.

Kim

Kim : There no MCE systems with built-in satellite, but you can still use
your satellite box with MCE 2005. Run S-Video and the red and white audio
RCA
cables from the satellite box into an analog TV tuner in the MCE 2005
computer.

Thanks B-real.
What a pity though. I bet they could sell thousands in Denmark alone.

I don't think you can use MCE with a satellite reciever. Only cable
or
over-the -air signals.

I am looking into what combination of home entertainment system to

and would like to know if there are MCE systems with built-in
satellite
receivers on the market.
I have only been able to find systems with one or two regular
tuners which
does not help me because my sole tv-source is a satellite receiver.
