ehshell.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

So... I update MCE 2005 SP2 with the roll-out update installed, I when I
launch MCE I get the above comment in a dialog box an MCE cannot start
anymore. I have been searching high and low for an answer, but to no avail
(suggestions seem to involve removing/reinstalling .NET Framework 1.1 (and
the SP) - did this; no luck. Finally, I reinstalled, but I think I made a
mistake when I installed, because I accepted to have my system update... and
now I am back to square one... so... a reinstall and NO updates??
As far as I can see there are a lot of people with the same problem.... I
really could use some help on this!
