Re: two tuners required for HDTV??

No, you'll only be able to watch what comes in via ATSC. MCE 2005, nor Vista supports both sides of a hybrid card. In the case of a hybrid, they'll only do ATSC if that's the only card in the machine. If you're short on PCI slots, there are USB tuners, such as the Hauppauge USB2 that are MCE compatible.

Thank you very much, that just made my day :D Id been staggering all around
the web looking for an answer. Thats good cause i just plain and simple
wouldnt have enough room for all my PCI cards if two tuners were required at
all times.

If i start with a SD tuner, add an HD tuner, then remove the SD tuner, I
will only be able to recieve digital broadcasts right? or can i follow the
same process except with a tuner that supports both SD and HD?

Thanks in advance

Yes, you hae to have a standard analog tuner installed in order to setup an
ATSC card. Reports here, and other forums say that you can remove the SD
card once the ATSC card is installed and setup. This limitation does not
exist in Vista.
