I did similar things with 8-track tape players <g>.

Obviously the computer needed a good night's sleep.
It does remind me vaguely of the number of times I had a problem with some
piece of gear, took it apart, found no hint of the problem, and
reassembled it prior to tossing it - only to find that it now worked.
Things like Walkmans (remember them?), film cameras (remember them?), and
windup alarm clocks (remember them?).

I'd first try installing new MCE-compatible video drivers...you can get
them
from either nvidia.com or ati.com, depending on which video board you

Hey, i just got an m76470n hp media center pc that i have hooked upcenter
to a
vga
lcd monitor and tv by s-video. Any time i try to switch the media
program to windowed mode, the display(whether it be the tv orhard
monitor)
acts
as though it's overscanning or something... it turns black and white
and
gets
lines through it and i cannot even exit the program... i have to do a
restart. I've tried to disable and disconnect the tv and just run it
on
the
monitor and it still does it. I don't switch resolutions either.
I've
been
on hp's chat thing for like 6 hours trying to get help and they keep
running
me through circles.
