The important things are to make sure they're in the same workgroup, and
that you have the same user name and password on both machines. To share a
drive, you shouldn't have to do anything special with security permissions
as long as the user is the same on both (and is set to Administrator?)...

I've been trying to setup my home network so I can access files from my
laptop to my desktop and the opposite. I have connectivity between both
computers but I'm not sure I set up the permissions correctly.

Please help me with this set-up. I run WIN XP (home edition on my desktop
and WIN MCE on the laptop).
