Once you're in Recovery Console, you need to use the EXPAND command to
expand the required files from the CD media. If your computer came with XP
pre-installed, you will probably find and I386 folder on the hard disk as
well. This folder contains the majority (but not all) of what is on the XP
CD.
You may also find this file, already expanded in:
C:\Windows\Driver Cache\i386
C:\Windows\$hf_mig$\KB890859\SP2QFE
C:\Windows\Driver Cache\i386\sp2.cab (you'd need another tool to access
this one.
The one in the SP2QFE folder is dated 3/1/2005, if it exists on your system,
and should be the same as the one in Driver Cache\i386 (assuming KB890859)
is installed. If this file exists in the Driver Cache\i386 folder, you
should just be able to use the COPY command to copy it to the
Windows\System32 folder.
