Absolutely agree. It will NOT be useable to surf.

I have found that the normal Windows desktop looks like crap on a CRT TV, period. Whether you're using S-Video or coax. The standard CRT doesn't support the resolution rates necessary.

I have a 36 inch Sony CRT WEGA TV, with S-Video input.

On that TV, I'd love to be able to listen to music and watch digital family pictures and movies - so I am thinking of getting a PC running MCE, and Vista when it is out, to do this, hooked up to my TV and also getting a wireless MCE keyboard & remote. My spouse would also like to surf the internet as well.

As I do not have an HD TV, I am wondering how this would work out ???

1. I need S-Video OUT on my PC - I do not need a TiVO style option, as i already have one.
2. Does this make sense, I think PICS and MOVIES will look fine.
3. Will surfing the net make any sense, is there a screen resolution that would work best for my TV, or will be unreadable ?

Regards,

Denis
