Well, I guess others think I am wrong here, but I believe those searches are
part of 'forms', so uncheck everything else.

Tom Scales, when I followed your advice, I ran into the following problem:
After going to autocomplete, the options were 'web addresses',which was
already checked, 'user names on passwords and forms', which was already
checked, 'prompt me to save passwords', which was already checked, and
'forms', which was unchecked. What was I supposed to do at this point? I
can
either choose 'ok' or 'cancel'.

I typed in a keyword for a search query. I asked that 'all files and
folders'
be searched. Later, when I wished to begin a new search, the old
keyword
popped up. I'd like to delete the old keyword, so it doesn't pop up
every
time I initiate a new search. How do I do this?

Bring up Internet Explorer.
Go to Tools, Options.
Content Tab
Click Autocomplete
Click Clear
OK out.
Should do it.
WAY too much work...
Just highlight the item in the dropdown list and CTRL-DEL on the
keyboard.
Do delete THAT one. Mine deleted them ALL
.
