I have a Dell e1405 laptop with Windows XP MCE, core duo t2300, Sony
DVD-RW
DW-Q58A drive. When I try to play DVDs in my computer the video (and
audio)
is choppy and moves at about half speed (ie, a 2-hour movie takes about 4
hrs). However, when i shut down windows and access media center from the
"media direct" button on my laptop, the DVD plays fine. This problem is
only
with DVDs. VCDs, streaming videos or other mpeg files play fine.
Is there something that I can tweak in windows to make the DVDs play
better
when windows is booted up?

Have you made any changes or installed any software that is media or video
related? Should work just fine.
