If you have to activate by phone, its pretty much an automated process. You will be given a long string of numbers to enter on your phone keypad. Then the system will read back a series of numbers you enter into the activation screen. Rarely will you have to talk to a human.

Did it validate over the internet or did you have to do the phone
validation???
When you rang before did they ask for some PC details or the key number of
your XP MCE2005 or just say no problem just go ahead and do it?
