Re threaded discussion for HP WMCE 2005 CD upgrade..HP NO longer stocks
and
refuses to cooperate in any manager assistance, even when we as consumers
get
bumped up to outsourced Indian tech support supervisor (formerly known as
a
Total Care supervisor) They will only restore your HP PC to whatever
version
of MS S/W was originally installed without ANY EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER !!

Exactly... They sold you the machine in a working state. Whatever you do/add
that causes it to stop working is YOUR problem. All they are required to do
is get the PC back to THAT state, and only during the warranty period.

You chose HP and their support practices when you purchased your PC. Maybe
next time you'll do a bit more research before dropping your cash on the
counter.

Is this good for HP customers? No. Does it make HP money? Yes.
