It has stayed fixed now for over a week so I am assuming deleting the files I
had saved did the trick. Hope this may help someone else with this problem.

No soap it didn't work again..
I applied the fix again rebooted and deleted all the old files and left
media center running and it did record this friday. It actuall worked when I
closed and went back in. I had tried to convert a movie and it kept coming
up with error message saying the file was corrupt, yet I could watch it just
fine could this have something to do with it. Hopefully since I deleted the
file it will stay fixed. Thanks for your help

The Si-FI station is not setting flags because I can go record the programs
after applying the fix. Itried the fix again and this time I did not stop
any recordings I had selected. I then went to schedule recordings because
the season has changed and I had some scheduled to record that were not
available anymore, (could this have something to do with it), and now I have
been able to record for a second time after exiting live tv and coming back
in at a later time. I will let you know if it works this friday for the
automatic recording.
Thanks
Dana :-)

Not sure of the solution (if there is one), but I don't think it is being
set by the Sci-Fi channel. I record some of those some programs (SG1 and
Atlantis) every week with no trouble; we have Time-Warner cable. I've even
burned them to DVD for friends that missed an episode with no problems. You
might want to call Dish and find out why flag is be set differently from
week to week.

Sometimes I can record and sometimes not. I get the error message about
restricted content. I am hooked up to Dish Network and when I tell it to
record the series it takes the setup without pause and some weeks It
records
and some weeks it doesn't. This has occurred trying to record Stargate
SG1,
Stargate Atlantis, Eureka, and on a different channel Blade the series. I
am
not trying to put these on DVD I just want to watch them once on my
computer.
Is this what is supposed to be happening and do I need to get my VCR out
of
storage? If it supposed to happen this way the least that should be done
is
when I click on the guide to record it should tell me then that it will
not
record.
Thanks
Dana
