Hi Dana,
Thanks to you and all who replied.
A big 'ouch' as my monitor utilizes the DVI connections & a
1600 x 1200 resolution.
As pointed out there does not 'seem' to be a KVM with DVI connectors.
Guess I could drive to Reno where a Best Buy is and ask the "Geeks".
But, rather not if I had a choice..
Looks like I have a problem. 8~((

I noticed from another posting here that the 30" monitor has a higher
resolution, like 2560x1600 or so. If that's the case, you'll need to use a
Dual Link DVI video card, and I don't know of any KVMs for those. If you're
running a standard VGA (even up to 1920x1200), then you can easily find a
KVM to handle it. And it seems some do audio too...

Thanks all.
I do not want games on this machine as the grandchildren like to play
PC games and I "do not" have internet set up on older dell XPS Gen
2 <grin>. Also have two young great grand kids that will be using
computer before long I think. Just now they play with the PS2.
Will await further developments from "Dana".
Again thanks to each reply.

If you're running VGA, sure...we use them here at work, where most of
the developers have them, running 1920x1200. I'll go check but I think
we all use Black Box KVMs.

Are there any KVM's that support the resolution of the 30" . I've
never seen one.

The keyboard, mouse, and monitor is no problem, just buy a USB KVM
switch. A 2 port one is probably around $30.
I believe there are several made with audio as well, those probably
cost twice as much. I never used one with audio so I don't know if
they just support stereo or you can get them with 5.1, etc.

This newer machine has WinXP SP2 Media and my older machine has WinXP
SP2.
Want to utilize both computers using the same Dell 30" Monitor \
keyboard \Mouse
and existing sound system.
Old machine for 'Gaming' and new one for Home Office.
Is this a possibility? Also is it an expensive possibility?
Thanks for reading and hopefully replying.
