I could see it doing that on the video if your video used an unsupported
codec, such as DivX. What format is your video and audio in?

Sorry, I should probably describe this a bit further. The Xbox can see all
of
my music and videos just fine, but when I want to view a video, the screen
goes black. When I want to hear a song, it just stays on 00:00 and doesn't
move - like the streaming won't begin.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
