You might want to ask in Microsoft.public.directx.video. There are some
real experts in there. I'm pretty sure the Mad Hatter can solve it.

i am considering formatting, but im trying to figure out first if theres a
way to detect & resolve the issue at hand. if there arent any then in the
end
it goes down to format :)
is there any suggestions on the problem with the AGP Texture?

Well you can format, you just have to backup first. A second hard drive
would seem sensible. As for "I can't format", have you thought about
what
you'd do if the hard drive failed?

Hi There, recently im having a problem with the AGP Texture
Acceleration
on
the DirectX. when i restart my computer all selections on dxdiag are
enabled
and are working fine. now when i start a game then go ALT+TAB then come
back
again my screen goes black so now i have to exit the game through
TaskManager. now... when i go back to dxdiag my AGP Texture
Acceleration
is
now Greyd Out and unable to either disable or enable. and not the
problem
starts. i cant view video files i only see black screen.
dxdiag tells me theres no problem on the dx files. as for my part
trying
to
resolve the issue.
Uninstall Display Driver and Install latest one (even installed the
original
driver that came with the card). I cant re-format my XP yet due to the
fact
that i got to many files on my MBD so formatting is out of the
question.
I have 2 nVidia Asus EN6600GT in SLi Mode worked fine b4 for a very
long
time and after about a YEAR (updates/upgrades on XP) the problem
suddenly
popped out of the blue
.
