Thank you for the quick response, but you misunderstood my desire.
I want password protection upon resuming Windows from a screensaver. I also
want, as it had been, the logon screen (dialog box) that allows someone other
than myself to log onto Guest.
Turning off the "On resume, password protect" only leads my desktop to less
priavacy, not more.
unfortunately, the issue and resolution is more complicated than that.
Any other approches?

Restart the PC..
Right click the desktop and select Properties. Click on the ScreenSaver
tab.
UNCHECK the box that reads: On resume, password protect.

I have a similar problem, but it is happening AFTER my screensaver comes
on.
I NEED to get the original logon screen that lists my user name AND Guest.
This is what was happening until there was a Microsoft automatic update,
and
now I get the screen referenced below.
My logon at Windows startup is normal and how it should be. This only
occurs
after the screensaver has come on and I go to logon again.
The dialog box says: Unlock Computer
Below the Windows XP Media Center Edition banner reads:
This computer is in use and has been locked
Only "MYCOMPUTER\username" or an administrator can unlock this computer
Username:__________
Password: __________
My user name is already in place and it unlocks easily, only problem is I
do
not want to log back onto my screen to then switch users to guest.
This was fine in the beginning, but as I have said, it has recently
stopped
since some auto update.
The fix for "Larababe" in this case does not work for me. Please help!

We installed XP (2) recently and we have encountered problems but not
that
couldn't be solved until now.
We used to have access to a Welcome Page which showd all users: My
husband
and I on one and both children had their own. We would just click on
our
little icon to have access to our account.
This Welcome page no longer exists, we get a little box which claims
that
"This computer is in use and has been locked" .
It had completely taken off our account and was running from my son's
account. My husband managed to get us back as administrators but we
all have
to use a password now to get in. It is really annoying!
Where did my Welcome page go and how can I get it back? We tried to go
back
in time (do not know the correct term), but it always gives us the same
stupid box saying the computer is locked and to enter password. Do I
have a
virus or something?
