Re: Trying to backup registry

If you're running XP Pro, backup is installed by default. If you're running XP Home, it isn't.

HOW TO: Install Backup from the CD-ROM in Windows XP Home Edition

If your computer came with XP Home preinstalled, you may not have this option.

When I go to directions to backup my registry it says to go to
Start->Accesories->System Tools->Backup.
I can get to System Tools, but there is no 'Backup' choice.
What am I missing?
Can I just copy the registry file, and if so, what is the name of the
registry file?
Thanks for your time,
Fran
