I have a Media Centre 05 PC in my lounge with all the nessessary ariel and
SAT feeds to it. I have an XBOX 360 extended on that. I also have a
second
Media Centre PC on the same home network but with no tuners installed.
My Question is;
Can I extend live media to the 2nd MCE PC as I do the XBOX 360?
And if so how? and if not, why not?
Thanks
No, you can't.
The reason? Because on this particular issue, even though it has been
requested and requested and requested, Microsoft has their head up their
a**.
It can easily be done by competitor's products. I use MCE on my laptop, but
have standardized on Snapstream's Beyond TV for my whole house system.
Allows PC based extenders and, most importantly, allows multiple input
sources with independent guides.
MCE is great for what it does, but you could drive very large trucks through
its holes.
