Both the 9600 and Radeon 700 should work fine, as long as they have the
specific Media Center drivers.

I am glad I came across this site & I found the link Jaime supplied very
helpful to me in discovering my new tuner card is compatable. TY

Now to find out if my Radeon 700 is also compatible or if I need to
upgrade
that cause in setting up I get so far and then it tells me my video is not
compatible. trying to find the solution. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Here's the list of "Designed for..." hardware, don't see the 9600 card
listed (although that doesn't mean it won't work) and they only list the
Pinnacle PCTV 200e tuner card. Also, you need to install an approve DVD
decoder; you can download the nVidia one for a free 30 day trial.

I have a pc with the following config:
Athlon Xp 2200+
512mb DDR
160gb HDD
ASUS DVD RW
Generic CD Rom Drive
Gigabyte motherboard
ASUS Radeon A9600se 128mb DDR
Realtek 5.1 soundcard on the motherboard
Pinnacle TV Tuner
(+other extras like joysticks and pc tablet, etc.

The problem is: when I start the Media Center app it says: Video card
or
drivers are not compatible with MediaCenter... (I used the Enhanced
driver
bcouse iI need to use it's special features). With my friend's ATI
Radeon
9200se it says th e same ! (with clean install) :( But if I click OK it
still
works...

Problem2: No CD or DVD ROM drives are shown in Media Center

Problem3:When I try to view somekind of video (no matter what format!!!
even
mpg!), it says that there's a problem with my codecs!! (They work in
MediaPlayer and other programs)
