Depends on what your online music store lets you do. For instance, iTunes
will let you burn that song to a CD, which you can then rip with Media
Player into a generic MP3 or a WMA file, and easily use that.
If wherever you got this song won't let you do that (or otherwise export to
a DRM-less format), then you got ripped off and you should complain...your
fair use rights just got trampled.

I downloaded a song to use for a private video of Digital photos....now it
seems the song is Protected & cannot be used for the DVD (much to my
dismay
since I paid for the download). is there any way to use the song by
re-recording, etc? I am "so upset"...I NEVER thought about that problem
prior to downloading!
