Re: Media Guide Missing Informaiton

Hi Gary,

I just live around the corner from the MS Canadian HO and previously noticed
that you're located there supporting MCE - would it be possible to set-up a
Canadian MCE user group to meet at your facility?

This whole situation regarding sub-channels (particullarly PBS, which is in
such demand) could be easily solved if MS simply took all channels contained
the Zap2It listings for a user specified Zip code and put them uniquely in
the master list of channels used by the user to optionally assign a (Guide)
listing source to a newly added or existing channel.

The Zap2It listing for the Buffalo, NY zip code 14207 contains all of the
required channels (including those for Toronto, Canada).

With soooooo many people requesting proper guide data, couldn't this simple
change be made?

Unfortunately, there's not much of a tracking mechanism in place to see the
state of your submitted info.
If/when the problem is fixed, you should see it when your EPG data is
refreshed.

Thanks for the link, I sent the information. Is there any way to track
this
problem? How long does it usually take to correct this type of problem?

I live in Boston and have 4 OTA PBS digital sub-channels for which I do
not
get the proper guide information. The channels show up and display
properly
but the guide infromation is just a copy of the major channel.
Specifically,
I get the correct information for WGBHDT 2.1 but WGBHDT 2.2 is a copy
of 2.1
and incorrect. The guide for WGBX 44.1 is correct but 44.2, 44.3 and
44.4 is
a copy of 44.1. The correct informaiton is available on
http://tvlistings5.zap2it.com so I don't know why they are incorrect on
MCE.
I purchased the MCE computer specifically to watch and record the
digital
programs on PBS and I'm very frustrated the I don't have a complete
guide.
Any suggestinos? Is there a way to get Microsoft to correct this?

Thanks
Peter
