I have a system running XP Pro, I did a fresh install and performed the
security patches, updates and everything was fine. Everything worked
great,
internet was fast, system was fast. Then I got an indicator that my PC
wasn't up to date and I scanned it, found that I needed Service Pack 2. I
installed it and now:
Several services don't start up
Automatic updates is disabled, and I have to restart it everytime I reboot
MS Firewall is disabled and it won't let me change it to automatic
I tried to go to control panel and turn on the firewall there and it won't
let me.
I reloaded windows xp pro three times now, and everytime I load service
pack
2 I get the same set of problems.
Is there a fix for this, is this a known problem?
