I would like to setup a computer with MCE 2005 in my basement, (Cable
distribution is there) connect only a TV to it when I need to make
configuration changes (would perfer to use RDP (Remote Desktop) if
possible)
setup series recordings to record then be able to watch on 360.

My question(s) are

1 - Can I use RDP to do the configuration over a network and setup the
recordings?
You can't setup the tv signal source over Remote Desktop, however, you
can
setup your recordings over Remote Desktop

2 - with Media connect, can I watch the shows that i record on my 360
and
how is the quality over the network?
No, you cannot do this with Media Connect. You'd need to do this via the
Media Center Extender software within the Xbox 360. The quality is as
good
as the quality that you are recording at (whatever it is set at).

maybe my terms were wrong, I just want to make clear. If I record shows on
MCE, Can I watch them on the Xbox 360? and if the quality is set to best,
the
quality through the 360 going over the network will best quality showing
on
the television?

3 - Can I burn the shows to DVD after watching them for storage?
Yes

Thank you,

Bill
