You should have the ability to burn DVDs in Media Center. If you have the
Sonic Encoders installed, you will have the option to burn data dvds,
slideshows, and video dvds. If you don't have these options, you need to
find the SonicEncoders.msi file and install it. It's apparently on HPs web
site, as well as several other locations on the net.
To get MovieMaker to detect your video input, bring up Task Manager and kill
all processes starting with EH*. If you want to edit DVR-MS files, you can
use a free solution such as DVREdit or dCut, or purchase something like
Video ReDo Plus.

I have an HP m260n Media Center Computer.
I have a VCR hooked up to the "TV" input. I have made DVDs from this VCR
several times
using Movie Maker and MyDVD and RecordNow software.
Now neither of these applications can detect the signal from my VCR.
The TV player in MEDIA CENTER detects it fine and plays videos great.
Once I get the videos recorded in Media Center, I can't record them to
DVD.
Is there any way to record to DVD in Media Center since none of the other
programs can detect my TV card?
I have completely reinstalled all the programs after formatting the HD.
Would love to get the Movie Maker and MyDVD working . Any help
appreciated.
Thanks.
