This question is brought up occasionally, so far I don't think anyone has
come up with a hack. If you're using a cable/sat box, you need the IR for
MCE to change channels automatically.

I can't get past the IR setup, but I don't wish to use it as I'm using a 30
foot svideo and only want one controler set up for my sat receiver. is
there
any way to manually set the input in wme without the using the setup
wizard.
