Sorry folks - I posted my original message via MS's Media Centre
Support website - it didn't offer access to any of the other MS Office
newgroups - should have done this via Google. Anyway so far Toshiba
Customer Service have ignored all of my attempts to contact them - par
for the course for them I understand. However the easiest option is to
simply remove MS Office Onenote. If MS can't be bothered to get a
simple installation right life's too short to sort out problems with
their faulty s/w even if it did cost 500 quid. Again par for the course
I understand, and a tad unprofessional of MS to realease a faulty
product at such a high price. A Google re: the missing CAB file name
seems to elicit a number of problems and few solutions. Cheers - CJB.

First off, this is a Windows Media Center Newsgroup, you should post this
question in a more appropriate forum to get more help (probably an Office
2003 group).
However, I suspect the SP2 failed because it was trying to update OneNote
which came separate from (and has a separate key than) your Office Pro
package. If Toshiba included that software, it is there problem to figure
out. My suggestion would be to uninstall Office and OneNote, then try
reinstalling just Office.

My new Toshiba laptop came with MS OneNote pre-installed. I also purchased
MS
Office Pro 2003 and have attempted to install this. However I have had
problems - not expected for a suite of s/w that cost 500+ quid. It came
with
three CDs. The first disk was the basic versions of the Office
applications.
That installed OK. The second disk was for SP1 - that too installed OK.
HOWEVER the third disk for SP2 and this did NOT install OK. The
installation
of one module caused the message "MS OneNote 2003 - Cannot Find
SKU1A1.CAB".
The installation then terminated. I have looked on all three disks and
this
file was not present. Unfortunately when I put the first disk into the CD
reader again the whole installation process repeated on autorun. Then I
had
to do SP1 again. But then SP2 failed again for the same reason as before.
Now
when I try and start up MS Onenote it demands a key. I've tried the key
from
the box from MS Office Pro 2003 but it refuses to accept this. The MS
Windows
XP key glued to the bottom of the laptop doesn't work either. I can't find
the key to the original installation because Toshiba don't provide any
original CDs. So I'm stuffed with 500 quid's worth of s/w that doesn't
install properly. I've searched the MS KB for this problem. Unfortunately
the
work arpound is so complicated and talks about "repairing Office 2003"
that
I'm not sure what to do. I mean repairing a damned brand new suite of
"pro"
s.w. which cost 500 quid....just how professional is "pro"?!!
Unsurprisingly
emails to Toshiba remain ignored. CJB.
