Which model analogue TV are you using?

The store people are mostly correct. The resolutons on most analog TV's
are so low that text and graphics are not very sharp. You can
understand this if you get close to the screen on an analog TV and are
able to see with the naked eye the pixels. The resolution on the
typical analog TV is not much better than for our early pc monitors
which were at 640 x 480 pixels.

So, they gave good advice when they said to upgrade your TV to an LCD
or plasma with a higher resolution. I don't know enough about
converters, but I suspect that a converter for you analogue TV it won't
make much difference.

In the US, a good 26" LCD with a resolution of 1380 x 768 resolution
can be had for about $500.
