Re: Delay changing channels

The delay is caused by MCE creating a new file in order to support a
TimeShift buffer for the new channel and not actually starting to show the
new file until it can sucessfully issue a write command to the newly created
file.

Is there any way to avoid the delay when changing channels w/ MCE? There
is
a 1 second delay going from one channel to another which gets to be very
annoying when channel surfing. Does anyone have a workaround for this if
this is by design?
