If updateing the AMD drivers fixes the problem the fix will not apply to
previously recorded programs only to those recorded after the AMD update was
installed.
Have you also noticed any problems when playing DVDs using MCE?

What driver realese are you using for your 6600 TC card and how much
onboard memory does it have....
- Video Adapter
Model : NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache(TM)
Driver version: 9.1.3.1
Chipset : GeForce 6200 TurboCache(TM)
RAMDAC : Integrated RAMDAC
Video BIOS : Version 5.44.02.32.00
VGA Compatible : No
Total Memory : 256MB (238MB Video) (248MB System)
Texture Memory : 486MB
Supports DIME Texturing : Yes

and how much do you have allocated total?
- Not sure how to check or adjust this.

Do you have the current AMD XP X2 CPU driver from the AMD Website
installed?
- Now I do.

Do you ever have any problems with Live TV?
- Seems ok but watch very little live TV on the computer. My regular
tv and computer share the same cable connection but the computer audio
and video run about 1 to 2 seconds behind the tv.

I have a problem with playback of recorded tv.
Every 30 or so seconds the playback stops. If I rewind a couple of
seconds it will play normally through the "bad" area making me think
that the problem is not with the recording of the program but with
something in the playback. Thinking that it was a memory thing I added
another gig to no avail.
I'm getting tired of watching a program with the remote in my hand.
Please help if you can.
Thanks
Bill

Forgot to mention that I've updated all drivers and even after
shutting down everything in the sys tray and turning of the modem the
problem persists.
