No I believe that what actually hapened when NVIDIA did not found your
normal Primary display is downsscaled your desktop resolution and output it
simage at 480i over S-video instead of at 800x600 which was not at that time
the defined resolution for your S-Video connection since 1024x768 can not be
used on S-video since the s-Video specification does not permit the
bandwidth that it would require.

Yes, you are correct, and mytv resolution is now set at800 * 600. When my
Nvidia software automatically configured the resolution it put the tv at
the
same resolution as my desktop, that is why nvidia told me you need to
create
a custom setting with the wizard. Hope this helps.

1. right click on the nvidia icon in the toolbar and select nview
properties
2. click on display wizard on the nview properties page
3. click next on step one of the wizard
4. select primary display and click next
5. select primary display and click next
6. select span/clone/dual mode and click next
7. select screen resolutions for each monitor and click next
8. on preview screen click next
9. click finish to save setting

Then after you save setting, save the profile so if you decide to
switch
to
another mode like single or clone you can easily switch configurations
without having to use the wizard. Hope this helps.

configured
right. I contacted gateway and nvidia and to instructions on how
to
reconfigure my video card and everything is working great now.

shouldn't
affect
the sVideo output...
