Thanks for the info, I am going to get ahold of the manufacturer as my
computer came with my graphics card and is under a four year warranty, thanks
again. As far as when the tv gets clearer, yes it will either get clearer
when I turn off the monitor or just stop using the monitor (flatscreen).
Also, last night, the graphics card stopped working in dual view and I had to
change the settings back to clone to get the two monitors to work. Also, my
control panel for my graphics card is no longer available (it just
disappeared from my menu options) to adjust the settings. So, it must be an
issue with the graphics card. Thanks again.

The maximum resolution you'll get over sVideo is 720x480 (or if you're using.
a PAL TV, I think its 720x576). Having the TV set to a higher resolution in
the drivers won't help, as that's all sVideo is capable of supporting. And
at 720x480, your desktop will certainly be blurry...
Te question I've got is about when you say the TV image is fine when you're
not using the flat screen, but goes blurry when you are...that's just
weird...how does the computer know the difference? If you're not using the
flat screen, do you just power it off? If powering it off makes the TV get
blurrier, then it sounds like a graphics card issue as that shouldn't affect
the sVideo output...

Yes, i am using a VGA interface connection for my flat screen and an
S-Video
connection for my tv monitor. Thank you for the info, the video on the tv
is
still watchable just a little blurrier. Besides that the dual mode works
fine, no problems. I will check out my nvidia manual for information about
this issue, and I guess I live with the the slight performance problem
(blurryness) as I use my computer for college (an IT degree in 2 more
years)
and MCE. Thanks for all your help.

I assume that your monitor is using a VGA interface connection. I am not
sure what your TV may be using probably S-Video or DVI or Component.
The NVIDIA release notes and or user guide for its driver recommend
agains
using dualmode with MCE because of performance problems. I forget the
exact
verbage.

I have a ge force 6200 w/ turbo cache. my resolution for both monitors
is
1024 * 768. I am using Dualview (so I can use each screen for seperate
programs) and my tv is my default monitor and my flatscreen is my plug
and
play monitor. I am not quite sure what you mean by what interface am I
using,
if I did not already answer this, tell me where to see the info and I
will
post it. Thanks.

What graphics card do you have and what resolution and interface are
you
using to your 2 displays? Are you using clone or extended desktop
mode?

I guess I did not explain the problem right, the problem is when I am
running
video on my tv through MCE and go to use my flatscreen to do
schoolwork,
the
video on my tv gets blurry. I wanted to know if I could configure
something
differently so that the video on my tv stays clear while I am doing
my
homework on my flatscreen. I know it has something to do with using
my
flatscreen because the video is clear on my tv when my flatscreen is
not
in
use. Thanks.

If I understand you correctly you are saying the PC applications
are
blurry
when trying to run them on your TV although Video is fine on your
TV.
This
is probably becasue CRT tVs are designd for video only and no for
use
as
PC
moniotrs. This is why CRT PC moniotrs have historically cost twice
as
much
as CRT Tvs of the same screen size. Also if you are using S-Video
as
the
interface to your TV recognize that you are sending a 480i image of
what
is
on your moniotrs desktop and not the actual desktop resolution this
also
causes application text to appear blurry.

I have a question I have my tv hooked up as my primary monitor and
I
do
my
schoolwork on my flatscreen. My question is when I am not using
my
flatscreen, the picture on my tv monitor is clear, when I start
doing
schoolwork on my other monitor, the picture on the tv monitor
gets a
little
fuzzier. Is there any way I can reconfigure my tv monitor via the
Nvidia
Control Panel or the window control panel to have a clearer
picture
when
using my other monitor for schoolwork, thanks.
