First of all make sure you are using a personal firewall such as zonealarm.
All unecrypted trafic can easily be intercepted, analyzed, and read by using
a wireless packet sniffer. Some people with way to much time on their hands
make a sport of it.

How safe are public wireless connectivity services? I was using one
last night for the first time and was browsing the web but not for
email because I wasn't sure if the password would be encrypted. I also
read in the manual that using a public connection meant that other
users could access my PC and steal info. CJB.
