Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I would suggest the My Movies add-in, plus either TweakMCE or MCECustomizer.
And Firefox. I use Zone Alarm as my firewall, and Avast as the antivirus.
And of course you'll want to install a DVD decoder and the SonicEncoders.msi
so you can burn video DVDs...

Can anyone tell me what additional software is worth installing on a new
MCE PC?

I want to use it to watch and record TV, watch DVDs, play music, view
photos, browse Net, send/receive e-mail, play games (Sims etc.). Have I
missed anything? Is there any other software that I should think about
