The freezing behavior is likely caused by a network driver issue. I suggest
updating your PC's Ethernet card drivers to the latest version available
from your PC OEM's website.

Incidentally, I got some Develo 85 Mbps powerline adaptors and they aregreat
for the internet connection, but it proved impossible to get MCE streamingto
the xbox 360 through them - no idea why.but

Hi all,
Hoping someone here can assist.
I am trying to stream HD content from my media center pc to my xbox 360
wirelessly - currently on 802.11g. The network performance tool shows a
signal that usually goes one or two bars into the "ok for hdtv" area,
assumewhen trying to access these on the xbox 360 the thing just freezes. I
(mpgthat this is therefore a bandwidth problem. Standard definition video
seemsfrom a dvd for example) works fine. Strangely, if I use Transcode360 it
thisto be able to stream the HD content (not every file, but most of them).
My question is, would using an 802.11a router be likely to alleviate
a usbproblem. Are there any other solutions? My options so far include using
favourableextension cable to position the xbox wireless adaptor in a more
currentlocation or getting an 802.11a router - cat5 is not an option as my
house is rented.
Any ideas?
