I have MCE 2005 on an HP. 2 days ago the remote control that came with my
system stopped working. When I checked the device manager it said that
the
eHome Infrared Receiver was not working. Upon restarting my computer, it
worked fine.

Now, the remote has stopped working again. Device manager says the IR
receiver is working properly. The remote itself lights when I push
buttons
and the IR receiver lights up when I push buttons on the remote, however
nothing happens on the computer. I have reviewed the posts relating to
remotes and could not find any suggestions.

Please help!!

Have you tried the obvious? Changed the batteries? Even if the lights
light, it might not be a strong enough signal.

Just a thought.
