Re: Fast User switching option disables at startup

Hi Doug,

I checked Terminal Services and its already set to STARTED and MANUAL i went
ahead and changed it to automatic but i'm still having the same problem in
fact i just noticed that the problem exists if i just log off my user i dont
necesarrily have to shut the pc down as soon as i log back in the fast user
switching option is again disabled... it however does not disables itself if
i switch user only when i log off...

like i mentioned before it seems that for some reason that particular
setting isnt being saved algon with everything else...

any other ideas?

by the way thanks for your help...

Additionally, when this happens, click Start, Run and enter SERVICES.MSC Look in the right pane for Terminal Services. This service should be set to Started and Manual. If not, double click it and change the startup type and start the service. You can also set it to Automatic startup, if desired. It won't hurt anything.

Hi Doug,

AllowMultipleTSSessions is set to 0x00000001(1)
LogonType is also set to 0x00000001(1)

is this ok?

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

In the right pane, locate AllowMultipleTSSessions and LogonType. Both of these values should be set to 1.
