Re: How do I use my MCE remote reciever to emit signal to my home devi

You can do it with Girder. www.promixis.com

Supports the MCE remote and will happily emit whatever you want. Might
require a usb-uirt though (www.usb-uirt.com)

You need an IR emitter that plugs into the back of the Remote. Note, it will
not control your home theater. It will control a set top box for
cable/satellite. Depending on the remote you have, it may be programmable
to learn the TV power on/off and volume controls from another remote. These
remotes have two power buttons, one for the MCE PC and one for the TV.

I want to hide my home theater under a table which i have my TV set on. I
would like to attach an emitter from the remote reciever to the home
theater
so that when i use my home theater remote it gets the signal to the home
theater. Right now when i use my remote the light blinks on the reciever,
so
i know it will get the signal, but i need a piece of software to tell my
computer to emit it to the home theater. Any ideas?
