Ahh I misunderstood the first reply. Well I deleted it this time and it's
working fine now, so thank you very much. I can fix most things on here if I
know what the problem is but I had no idea what it would be so, I'm very
grateful for your help.

As I said before, it may be empty. This setting tells the system what wall paper to use. If it exists and is empty, then it is saying "NO Wallpaper!". Delete it.

I did everything, but the value was already set to 0, and there was no value
in the second one either. Maybe it is my laptop?

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop
Value: NoChangingWallPaper

If this value exists, it will be set to 1. Double click it and set it to 0 or right-click it and select Delete. Log off/log on.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Value: WallPaper

If this value exists, it will be set to a wallpaper name, or the path and name. It may also exist and be empty. Right click and select Delete. Log off/Log on.

Uhh I am having the exact same problem! I can change colors and use web tabs,
but I cannot put a picture up. I see my old desktop picture I had for a few
seconds when shutting down and starting up, but other than that it doesn't
work. I was using a web tab but it got annoying so I'm trying to find answers
too. Anyway, when I right click on my desktop, and go to properties, then
destop, the browse button is unhighlighted, I can right click but it just
comes up with what's this. I see the list of desktop pictures, but I cannot
click or scroll any of it. The only things that are working are the different
colors, and web tabs. (Screensaver works fine and so do my themes).

A few people just said it's cuz my laptop is screwed up (which it is, it's
crashed quite a few times in the past 6 months) But I still don't think
there's a connection.

All,

I have been having a slight problem and now it is really just bugging me. I
am not able to see any desktop wallpapers on my pc. I used to be able to and
now I only see when I shut down the system and itflashes for a second. I am
able to change screen savers just fine. The only option that I have available
to me through the Properties is the color. I cannot Browse, change pics, or
Stretch.

Any thoughts on this?
Thanks
