There is an exceedingly remote chance that this might work... but I wouldn't
bet on it.
(Though, it's not like you have anything to lose by trying it.)

The problem is that this is written for the Volume License key, which isn't
what MCE uses... but, again, not like you have much to lose?

I recently purchased a media center pc. It was used, and had media
center installed and configured exactly as I want it to be so I did
not want to re-install the software again, besides the fact it came
with no disks.
I have checked and it is using an illegal cd key, so I have just
purchased an OEM copy of Media center 2005 from a reputable source,
and now have a legal key, disks etc, however I would like to change
the cd key for the current installation to makle it legal rather than
have to re-install the entire system again.
Can you please advise how I can do this.
Many thanks
