Hi,

I just bought a new Media Center PC, but am kinda disapointed by the fact
that I can not watch a show (Watch NOT record) while recording another.

I know you need 2 TV tuners if you want to record 2 shows... but, You can
not record a show and channel surf or change channels while Media Center
is
recording a show. Or watch a sports game and channel surf during
commercials.

You need a second tuner or a single dual tuner card, like it or not it's a
fact not just for MCE. A tuner locks one channel at a time. You can however
watch a recording while you record another program. Not what you want but
the best you can do with one tuner, get a dual tuner and your set.

Or if 2 good shows are on at once, I can't even record one and watch the
other.

Am I missing something here, or is this just another reason why Microsoft
Media Center sucks, and I should return it ASAP and buy a Mac instead
since
they are far superior when it comes to Digital Media and Entertainment.
(and
quality)

Buy a Mac and you'll have the same problem if you don't get the hardware you
need to fulfill your requirements, the operating system won't change that. I
don't know who sh** in you your corn flakes but your going off on Microsoft
when it's a hardware problem.

Or better yet, just buy ancard for my already good
(Non-Media Center) PC?

So what's your point you'll buy a dual tuner video card (more money) to
prove that you need a dual tuner.

I can't even hook it into my home network/Domain (Never thought Microsoft
would release an XP OS that can't join an Active Directory Domain... A-Hem
A
Microsoft Server 2003 Domain Controller... a Microsoft (XP) OS...
HELLO!!!!!!!!!!! What Idiot thought of that one????) I bet Apple is STILL
laughing over that one. Their programs and systems DO work together.

Man, I gotta dump this MS crap ASAP (I am so embarssed to even mention I
use
MS anymore). If this is where they are going, then expect Linux and Mac to
make a HUGE gain in market share (Oh, right!!!! they already are!).

With a little work you can join a domain. Hint use google put in the time
to do a little research.

Also, I can't see everyone buying brand new high end dual core systems
just
to run a super buggy Vista either (and you already know hackers are gonna
tear it to shreads when it finally does come out.), The NEW Outlook
interface
is gonna cost companies a FORTUNE to retrain all those ppl (not to mention
help desk costs also in conjunction with the Vista retraining costs) for
the
new look and feel of the same ol' junk... Give your head a shake guys...
Can
you say Thunderbird??? Its FREE and has already done years ago what MS is
claiming they are inovating and leading edge in Vista.

Well even a broken watch is right twice a day, but to be fair shouldn't you
wait to evaluate the final release.

What STILL no RSS reader (isn't that like parsely on your plate at a
restaurant with everyone else?) Oh Right... we are still waiting for
Vista...
maybe by 2015 it will finally release 5 years after Vienna does?

Not everyone wants or needs a RSS reader.

Thanks,

Still Steemin'
(Burned by MS AGAIN!)

Oh, and in case you wonder why I didn't post my name... it's not because I
am worried about the replies back (we are all entitled to have an
opinion)...
its just that I am very high up in a company that is a major Microsoft
solutions provider and it is my Job to recommend corporate and enterprise
MS
solutions. So by posting my Real Honest Opinion (and my name) that would
violate my agreement with Microsoft. As they may OWN my opinion at work,
they
sure DO NOT at my home. This is MY opinion only, not my companies. (But, I
do
decide what I suggest to companies as a solution.)
