Yes, primary partition.
The problem is that the hardware (S-Ata ide controller) is too new for
MCE install disk. May be because it is not "servicepacked"... XP SP2
boot install works perfectly instead...
Where I can download an upgraded MCE boot disk (MSDN...)?

MediaCenter 2005 from MSDN Universal (May 2006)
- No Hard disk found if installed from bootable DVD
- BSOD after the first reboot if installed (as new installation in
another partition) from Win XP home.
