If you had to buy a piece of hardware to buy the new copy of
Windows, then it *is* an OEM copy, and Noozer's statement holds.

You'll also find that the OEM copy is not supported by Microsoft,
and a service call costs money. I know: been there, paid that :-)

When I originally bought the computer it came with a copied
version of windows. The legal copy I now have I bought, but in
order to buy it I had to
buy some kind of hardware. I bought some computer speakers.
