No, not that I'm aware of. Is there anything I can do to correct this and get
the Diag tool to install.
I have had the previous version of MCE Diag install perfectly. I uninstalled
it when I realised I no longer needed it. Would the previous version still
install ? Is there anywhere I could get this as I've serched the net and not
found it.

I checked with someone more familiar with the MCdiag tool and they indicated.
that this message is generally only seen if the PC was windows XP rather
than Media Center. Have you had any issues in the past where tools did not
detect this as a MCE PC?

Hi Jenelle,
No it's not the 64bit version. I've tried running the installer straight
from net and also copying to hard drive, still the same result.

Is your Media Center a 64 bit OS? Are you installing straight from the
internet or coping the package local and launching?

The installer for MCE Diagnostics will not work for me. It ceases just
before
the end of installing with the following error:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program run
as
part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your personnel or
package vendor."
I have had the previous MCE Diag version installed and worked fine but
I
uninstalled it a few months ago. Have I any other options ?

Stephen,
We will need to gather more data about your current PC config. Could
you
download the Windows XP Media Center Diagnostics Kit from
https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=CE06D6A7-DE56-4D82-BF5F-6F6E1296A934&displaylang=en,
capture a machine snapshot using the MCDiag tool, and send it to
msft_mcx
at
hotmail? (and then tell me once you've done this)

Also when I try to run the MCE Network Peformance Tuner I get an

The

Could this be a part of the problem ?
