Re: Media Center with Vista

I would suspect that all language versions have drivers for the more common ATI and NVidia based cards, but I can't vouch for that, as I only install the English versions. As far as I know, the 9800 should be supported out of the box, with Vista.

Hi Doug,

I´ll probably need to install the english Vista in order to get a
working ATI driver, right?
´cause now it´s in german and the ATI installation failed.

If your card is currently supported in Vista, you'll get new drivers from Windows Update.

Where do I get current MCE drivers for my tuner card?

MCE is built into Vista and you should make sure that you have the catalyst
drivers 6.4 or better. Also make sure you have current MCE drivers for your
tuner card.

Hi, sorry for perhaps asking a silly question. But I did not yet
understand if the ATI 9800 Pro will be able to watch TV in Vista Beta2.

And if, how is this to be achieved?
Do I need a Media Center Edition or is the "simple" Vista enough?
And which drivers do I need?
And which tv-software i available for Vista?

Regards Thomas
